Iowa Wesleyan College: McConnell is in his third year with the Tigers and is a two-time letter winner. He comes into his junior season ranked sixth on IWC's all-time list in passing yards with 3,063 yards and is eighth all-time at Wesleyan with 3,438 yards total offense.
2010: Played in all 11 games, starting ten. Completed 224 of 371 passes for 2,251 yards and 16 touchdowns. Also led team in rushing, running 154 times for 348 yards and six touchdowns. Ranked 5th in MSFA in passing yards passing yards/game (204.6) and 6th in total offensive yards (2,599) and total offense/game (236.3). Also ranked 18th nationally in NAIA in passing yards, 20th in total offensive yards, 24th in total offense/game and 25th in passing yards/game. Two-time MSFA Midwest League Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 27 and Oct. 4, and named Honorable Mention All-MSFA Midwest League. His 2,599 yards of total offense ranks as the sixth-most in a season in school history, and his 2,251 yards passing are eighth-most in a season at IWC.
2009: Played in all 11 games, starting eight. Completed 107 of 202 passes for 812 yards and one touchdown. Also rushed 108 times for a net of 27 yards and one touchdown.
High School: Attended Oak Park High School in Kansas City, Missouri. Playedfour years of football and was a team captain andteam offensive MVP. Namedsecond team all-conference. Honor roll student.
