Kurt Moon begins his fourth year coaching the Iowa Wesleyan men's golf program in 2012-13.

Moon is in his second year as the sole head coach of the Tiger men's golf team after serving as a co-head coach with Josh Nichols for the two years. Last year the Tigers finished ninth at the Midwest Collegiate Conference Championship, and his team featured a two-time meet medalist in Blake Mitchell, the IWC men's team's first meet medalist since 2009.

In his first two years Moon coached the Tigers at tournaments and handled much of the program's recruiting. He also directed IWC's Fun City Classic at Spirit Hollow Golf Course in Burlington as well as IWC's hosting of the 2011 Midwest Collegiate Conference Golf Championships at Blue Top Ridge Golf Course in Riverside.

Moon is a successful Mount Pleasant area businessman and owns the Brown's Shoe-Fit store in Mount Pleasant. He is a member of the Mount Pleasant Country Club and has been a member of the club's board of directors. He also has worked at IWC basketball games for over 20 years at the scorer's table. He and his wife Mary have two adult children and reside in Mount Pleasant.
