The Iowa Wesleyan College softball team has qualified for the Midwest Collegiate Conference Tournament Final 4 to be played Friday and Saturday at Iowa State University in Ames.
The Tigers, the No. 4 seed in the tourney, will face top seed William Penn University in the second game of the Final 4 on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. The double-elimination bracket will include four games on Saturday and as many as three more games Sunday afternoon. If Wesleyan can win its opening game it will play again at 5:30 p.m., while a loss will send the Tigers into Game 3 of the tourney, an elimination game Saturday at 3 p.m.

IWC (24-33 overall) qualified for the tournament by being the highest seeded team remaining that did not win one of last weekend's three pod tourneys that made up the first round of the conference tournament. Each of the top three seeds won their respective three-team, double-elimination pods, allowing the Tigers to advance despite being eliminated from their pod by seventh-seeded Viterbo (Wis.) University.

Games 2-7 of the tourney will be broadcast online via audio broadcast. The broadcasts will be available at http://cvp.telvue.com/player?s=wpenn. Twitter updates from the tourney also will be available at http://twitter.com/vikingathletics.
