MOUNT PLEASANT - Iowa Wesleyan College senior Megan McVey (Fort Worth, Texas) has wrapped up her volleyball career by being named a First Team All-Midwest Collegiate Conference selection, as the conference released its season's end awards today.

McVey was named one of 14 players on the first team, and is the lone Tiger to receive all-conference recognition. It is the first time in her four-year career that she has been named to the all-conference first team.

McVey received the well-deserved award after carrying the Tigers this season, leading the team in a number of categories. She paced the team by finishing with 400 kills and also led the team in digs (373) and blocks (102), and also paced the team with 439 receipts of serve. McVey also ranked among the MCC leaders in all three categories, finishing third in kills per game (3.78) and blocks per game (0.97) and ninth in digs per game with 3.60.

The senior finished her career with 1,322 kills, 1,330 digs and 270 blocks (94 solo), as well as 66 service aces. She leaves as the all-time leader in kills in school history during the modern rally scoring era, and also is third in digs and eighth in total blocks.

Wesleyan finished the season with a 7-24 overall record, placing eighth in the MCC. Nearly everyone will return from the squad, as McVey was the lone senior on this year's team.
